Living Art of Montana's Fundraiser: The Light Show 2008

"There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle

or the mirror that reflects it"

Edith Wharton

You are warmly invited to join us at Missoula's Hilton Garden In on

Saturday May 31 for Living Art's annual fundraiser,

The Light Show 2008 - a fabulous evening celebrating

15 years of service to the community.

See marvelous one-of-a-kind lamps and mirrors created by regional artists

for silent and live auction.

The Light Show has grown into a unique fundraiser featuring innovative art during a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The event begins with a reception at 6 pm featuring a raffle, silent auction and preview of the artwork. At 7 pm the party moves into the ballroom for dinner. While dining, enjoy live entertainment featuring dancers and the "Lamp Lady" from our invitations. The live auction starts at 8 pm with auctioneer K.D. Dickenson. Shelia Callahan graciously emcees the evening.

Have fun with what you wear! We encourage "Montana formal with a twist." Feel free to wear lights in your garment and/or hair for an electrifying look.

This year The Light Show is dedicated to the memory of Linda Swab, one of Living Art's founders  and will feature an "honor fall." For a donation, glass pieces will carry the names of those you want to honor or memorialize, people who have had cancer, illness or loss.

Tickets are $50/person or $375/table of 8 or $450/table of 10. Purchase tickets in advance by calling 549-5329 or at Rocking Rudy's or Worden's. All proceeds benefit Living Art of Montana. The Light Show is the major way Living Art earns funds to support our service programs so we can offer them without charge to our participants who face illness and loss (and high medical bills).

For more information or to preview the lamps, visit the “Art for Auction” page above.  All the pieces will be on display after May 1 or visit us on the First Friday Gallery Walk on May 2 at the Florence Hotel.
